My sexy Siberian Meatless Cutlets.

Hey there!

If you were born in tiny, cold town in Siberia (nothing have to do with Serbia, Siberia in Russia, folks) you should know that cutlets can be made from MEAT and only from MEAT. I guess about 90% of our daily diet are animals products. People saying is sooo freaking cold in Siberia that average man CAN NOT survive without meat. BULLSHIT. CONSUMING OF MEAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WEATHER (it has to do with intestine, microflora and bacteria). Okay? But today about Meatless cutlets. My little brother liked them even more then traditional one. All you need is oat. Well, almost.  Here the recipe:

The world “blin” you can also use as swear word. Almost the same as “shit” sometimes.

To make people feel really high while eating Russian Pancakes you can try to serve dish with sour cream or whisk peanut butter and sugar powder together. But to be honest it is bullshit and too much work. SERVE WITH BERRIES AND COLD VODKA.

Eat me - I’m your yummy sandwich.
Okay folks, I thought I tried all vegan sandwiches in NYC, but hell no. Yesterday I went first time to the “Teany” and today “Earthhealth” for sandwich.
I saw many times how my friends DID “CHECK IN” on FB page in “Teany” café and thought that is the main reason why should discover it too.
How was it?
I waited 5 mins for the menu. Then I took it myself. Then I waited 10 mins when waitress will find a minute for hungry Russian vegan. While waiting I  had a short conversation with blonde lady wearing (inside!) black sunglasses (I think in her sixties). She reminded me glamour lady from LA, but in “Teany” she looked kinda weird (because place is not glamour at all, but nice).
  –  Something wrong with service here!- she whispered to me, as it was a BIG SECRET and no one already noticed it.
–   Yes, I see. But I heard food is good here? – I tried to join conversation.

 – Food is great! But those ladies, I don’t know what is going on with them.

I was just smiling, but later I had the same question in my head. Can you imagine, they made me wait for simple sandwich 25 mins more. Another woman near me was so upset with this waiting thing that she cancelled her order and just left. I can understand her!
I have never had experience like than NYC before and was just waiting for my VEGAN FOOD.  Also I am not a drama person. Finally, I got my sandwich – Ginger Chicken cost something like 9$ or something, which was really tasty, but I think it is better then stuff from “Terry”. Anyway I hope those guys will improve their service in future.

Well, I had a belief that the best vegan sandwiches in NYC are from Jivamukti café and “Terry”. But, hell no! Today I found my ideal sandwich. Listen up! “Earthmatters” café, Lower East side (177 Ludlow street). You should go for “Unchicken Salad Sandwich”( Grain Protein Unchicken Salad with Lettuce, Tomatoes and Choice of Spread). It is simply the best sandwich in NYC I tried so far.  And the cheapest – for only 7,75 $. I am not a big fan of sandwiches but still, warm and creative atmosphere, free wi-fi, yummy coffee (go for Mocha with soy, If vegan!) few raw options - touched my Russian vegan heart. Now “Earthmatters café” in my personal rating list of lovely veggie places in lovely NY.

Cheers!

Today “Birds Eye” event steal 30 mins of my precious time, but they did fool me actually. The brand on Thursday launched its “Discover the Wonder of Vegetables”. campaign in New York’s Union Square. And silly Russian vegan thought that it would be veggie and meat free event. But, hell, no!

- Is it vegetarian party?- I asked American women next to me.

- No, they just promoting their new staff. “Birds eye” - sell vegetables. Frozen vegetables. Ha-ha! - she was nice and a sceptic, as all women, especially independed, after 50…

- Frozen? Haha! - I laugh back and didn’t even know why.

Actually there were 3 Chefs, they cooked something. Others experts were talking about how to make children love vegetables and stuff. Which is very good to listen for many people who feed their kids with fast food shit.

I didn’t stay longer then 30 mins. And more fun for me was process of watching this guy with little colorful doggie (on the pic). Very cute couple. I bet they are vegetarians! They should be :)
